Template Letter to Congress for NCA Constituents
Please use this document as a template for creating a letter to your individual Members of Congress urging them to take action.
You will see that there are instructions throughout the document (in bold capital letters below and in highlighted capital letters in the downloadable version) for how you can localize the content, but still maintain the strong message that we are communicating in Washington, D.C.

In our continuing efforts to combat child abuse, The National Children’s Alliance has joined with Every Child Matters, the National Association of Social Workers, and the National District Attorneys Association to urge all Members of Congress to hold hearings on 10,000 child abuse and neglect deaths.
INSERT YOUR PERSONAL MESSAGE HERE. INCLUDE YOUR TITLE, THE NAME OF YOUR ORGANIZATION, THE AREA YOU SERVE, THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN IN YOUR COMMUNITY WHO ARE VICTIMS OF CHILD ABUSE, AND ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/STATISTICS THAT WILL SUPPORT THE URGENCY OF THIS CALL TO ACTION.
By holding hearings, providing emergency funds to stop state cuts in child protective services, and adopting a national strategy to end maltreatment deaths, you can bring to the public’s attention what has become a national tragedy, and bring much needed resources to child protective services in YOUR STATE and around the country.
