Empowering local communities to serve child victims of abuse.
Accredited Member
Operational Children’s Advocacy Centers that meet all 10 Standards for Accreditation, including the Essential components and the Rated criteria, established by the NCA Board of Directors may be granted accredited member status. The application process is as follows:
The Application process at a glance:
- a completed application with accompanying fees is submitted to NCA;
- upon completion of a review of the application material, an on-site accreditation review is conducted by a trained site review team;
- upon recommendation of the site review team to the NCA Board of Directors, a vote is taken to award accredited membership or pending status with a referral for technical assistance. If consideration for accredited membership is deferred, the candidate program will have up to one year to clear pending issues and have their application for accreditation reconsidered for approval.
Accredited membership is maintained by remaining current with:
- annual dues;
- statistical data submission to NCA on numbers of children and designated data report categories.
Accredited CACs will self-certify on an annual basis that NCA standards are being maintained. All Accredited CACs will be re-evaluated every five years by completing an updated application and on-site review.”
