We Can Do Better Initiative

Do 10,440 child abuse deaths deserve a Congressional hearing?

We think soNational Children's Alliance and its partners — the Every Child Matters Education Fund, the National Association of Social Workers, and the National District Attorneys Association — are launching a national campaign to end child abuse and neglect deaths.  Together, we are running ads in national publications and conducting a national communications campaign that urge Congress to address the fatalities that claim the lives of innocent children every day. Specifically, NCA and its partners are asking Congress to hold hearings and provide emergency funds to stop state cuts in child protective services.

A national strategy for combating maltreatment deaths is imperative. More information about this campaign can be found by scrolling down and clicking on the various resources.
