About the Organization
National Children’s Alliance (NCA) is the national association and accrediting body for Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs). Formed in 1988, NCA has been providing support, technical assistance, and quality assurance for CACs, while serving as a voice for abused children for more than 25 years.
Position Summary
The position is responsible for overall administrative support for the CAC-military partnership project. The position will support the implementation of a series of national MOUs between Children’s Advocacy Centers and military partners and ongoing maintenance of tracking systems as well as other projects. The position reports to the Coordinator for Services to Military Families and works cooperatively with the Membership Department as well as other NCA personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Developing and maintaining a system to track signatories on national MOUs.
- Developing and maintaining a system to track and present service arrays of MOU signatories.
- General office duties, including typing, data entry, drafting correspondence and reports, preparing mailings, document retention, coordinating mass correspondence.
- Taking minutes, assisting with meeting scheduling.
- Assisting with special projects and data analysis.
- Assisting with research projects and preparation of PowerPoint presentations.
- Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator for Services to Military Families.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong organization skills.
- Detail-oriented with an understanding of quality assurance processes.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Positive, solution-focused, problem-solving orientation.
- Ability to appropriately manage sensitive information and situations.
- Ability to work independently while seeking appropriate guidance and feedback from the supervisor when necessary.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and creating reports.
- Excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Office applications and Adobe Professional).
- Knowledge of DocuSign or other electronic signature software preferred.
WORK ENVIORNMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional travel.
- May require lifting of up to 20lbs.
