Child Abuse Pediatrician & Supervisor
JOB SUMMARY
Our Child Abuse Pediatrician/Supervisor oversees a small team of Child Abuse Medical Providers in addition to providing medical evaluations of children suspected to be victims of abuse or neglect. Child Abuse Medical Providers also provide education to the community regarding child maltreatment and child well-being. This position utilizes a multidisciplinary team approach to the evaluation of suspected child abuse, working in partnership with forensic interviewers, family support specialists, and community partners such as law enforcement and child protective services.
This is a Salaried/Exempt .8 FTE position (32 hrs/week) with full benefits. Exact schedule is negotiable. You will report directly to our Medical Director and be a member of our Center’s Leadership Team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional degree (MD or DO).
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics –OR- two years’ experience in the field of child maltreatment
- Knowledge of child abuse dynamics.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to relate well to children and adults in crisis.
