Stream for a Cause: Small Grants, Big Impact for NCA’s Rural Children’s Advocacy Centers

More than five years ago, the National Children’s Alliance (NCA) began partnering with content creators to fundraise, educate, and raise awareness for the mission of Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs). Since then, we’ve continued to look for meaningful ways to connect creators to CACs in communities across the country.

Enter Stream for a Cause (SfaC): a nonprofit that harnesses the power of content creators to raise funds that become grants for smaller nonprofits. We reached out to SfaC to explore a collaboration that would extend creator-driven philanthropy to eligible members.

For many families served by rural CACs, accessing services can require long drives, reliable access to a vehicle, and time away from work or caregiving responsibilities. Limited public transportation options can add another layer of difficulty. That’s why several grant recipients highlighted using funds for practical support like transportation assistance and gas cards. This removes a real barrier between a family and the services they need.

SfaC’s Rural CAC Impact Grants officially wrapped up in January, and we’re excited to celebrate the recipients for $1,000 grants. Each CAC was required to submit a video that shows how they used (or will use) the funds to support their community.

After you watch a video (or two), ask yourself: What would it mean for your community if more people knew about their local CAC and the real-world barriers families face, like simply getting to an appointment? That’s the power of creators, communities, and partners like Stream for a Cause. Together, we are turning attention into support and making a difference for kids.

“Stream for a Cause is revolutionizing the approach to charitable giving through content creation. Our belief is that numerous crucial organizations miss out on support through charity streams due to the absence of content creator programs. We seek out streamers who embody community-centered values to fundraise, and we subsequently convert those funds into grants and organizational support for smaller, grassroots, and community-based nonprofits globally, engaged in remarkable daily efforts. Our mission is to optimize the impact of the funds you raise by linking them to organizations dedicated to ensuring the prosperity of the communities they support.”
