Mental Health Resources for CACs, Caregivers, and Brokers
Resources to share with everyone involved in a child’s healing process.
NCA and the Northeast Regional CAC developed the below brochures to explain and encourage the use of evidence-based mental health treatments and trauma-informed care practices for CACs, caregivers of children served by CACs, and the brokers and MDTs that help us serve them.
For CACs, see “Ensuring the Well Being of Children: A Comprehensive Guide to Trauma-Informed Care for CACs” on the left.
For caregivers, see “Helping Your Child Heal From Abuse” at center.
For MDT members and brokers, see “Evidence-Based Mental Health Treatments for Child Abuse Victims: A Comprehensive Guide for Multidisciplinary Teams and Brokers” on the right.
Please feel free to use, print, and share these valuable resources broadly in your practice. With design software, PDFs are also editable to allow your center to place its own logo on the cover. Please consult with a graphic designer to customize these brochures.
|Share with CAC staff and partners to build a comprehensive approach to trauma-informed care at your CAC.
|Share with caregivers to help them engage with treatment and know what to expect along the road to healing.
|Share with MDT members and brokers such as CPS and law enforcement to educate them on the importance of evidence-based treatments for child abuse and improve buy-in from these crucial partners.|
