Executive Director PositionThe Children’s Advocacy Center of Lowndes County, Inc. (Valdosta GA) is a non-profit organization which provides resources to children and adolescent victims of trauma.Seeking an Executive Director to manage and lead its clinical and administrative staff and financial objectives in accordance with the Board of Directors. Potential candidates should have experience with or been exposed to Operational, Financial, Program Planning/Management, Human Resources, Risk Management, Fundraising, Community Relations and Advocacy. Candidates should have knowledge of leadership and management principles as they relate to non-profit organizations. Candidates should have significant knowledge of all Federal and State legislative and grant writing, compliance and management applicable to non-profit organizations. Title: Executive DirectorII. Primary Functions: The Executive Director is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives.III. Qualifications:A. College degree in social services, health, human services, business, or equivalent.B. Passion for the mission of the Center and demonstrated knowledge of child abuse issues.C. Significant and proven leadership skills developed through several years in senior management positions.D.Excellent organizational development, interpersonal, marketing, communication, administration, and personnel management skills are essential.E. Experience managing a complex budget.F. Ability to build collaborative ventures with diverse constituents.G. Excellent communication skills both written and oral; strong presentation skills.H. Grant writing experience with accounting to complete all reports by deadlines while maintaining all accreditations.IV. Major Responsibilities:A.Establish sound working relationships with community groups and organizations.B. Represent the agency’s services and mission to other organizations and the general public.C. Responsible for the analysis and project of community service needs.D. See that the board is kept fully informed on the condition of the organization and all important factors influencing it, including but not limited to real estate and all assets.E. Oversees the recruitment, employment, supervision, and termination of all personnel, both paid staff and volunteer and ensure effective communication between board and staff.F. Ensure that the job descriptions are developed, that regular performance evaluations are held, and that sound human resource practices are in place.G. Human resources functions including: payroll, contracting for and administering benefits.H. See that an effective management team, with appropriate provision for succession is in place.I. Maintains a climate which attracts, retains, and motivates a diverse staff of highly qualified individuals.J. Maintains a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the field.K. Maintains official records and documents to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.L. Responsible for developing and maintaining sound financial practices.M. Work with staff and board treasurer in preparing a budget and see that the organization operates within budgetary guidelines.N. Ensure that adequate funds are available to permit the organization to carry out its mission through implementation of a sustainability plan with the Board of Directors through grants, fundraising, community relationships, and any other available resource.O. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of varying forms of marketing that include but are not limited to the agency website, social media, and advertisements.P. Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.VResponsible to Board of Directors
